Our Current Offering
It’s a pleasure to announce the formation of Ridgewood Racing VII and VIII. The new partnerships involve 2 well bred thoroughbred athletes and world class trainer, Wayne Catalano! Both of these fillies were born and raised here at Ridgewood Stables and are currently in training. We expect them to be “race ready” by mid summer.
Ridgewood Racing VII will consist of a 2-year-old filly out of stakes placed broodmare and winner of $171,000, Polish The Cup. Ridgewood Racing VIII will consist of a 2-year-old filly out of stakes winning broodmare and winner of $86,000, Flick. Both of these fillies come from a long line of proven producers, both on the sire and dam side. Both are by sire Garcon Rouge, winner of over $334,000 and 19 races.
Because these are Illinois bred and foaled fillies they will start their racing careers in Illinois, likely at Arlington Park in Chicago. Later we will have the option of racing in New York, Kentucky, and Florida. We will be working with Illinois’ leading trainer, Wayne Catalano. Wayne has been the leading trainer at Arlington Park, Chicago for 10 out of the last 12 years, along with beating his own record this past summer. Wayne has also trained 3 Breeders Cup World Champions and 2 Eclipse Award Champions. He has racing stables established at all the major tracks in Kentucky, New York, Illinois, and Florida. Ridgewood Racing VII - Polish the Cup, 2012
Polish the Cup, 2012 is out of a stakes placed mare with earnings of $171,000 and producer of 3 other winning horses. She is by sire Garcon Rouge, who won over $334,000 on the track and competed in several graded stakes races, including the Louisiana Derby.

Ridgewood Racing VIII - Flick, 2012
Flick, 2012 is out of a stakes winning mare and half brother to Greengrassofyoming, who is currently racing at the allowance level at Gulfstream Park. Greengrassofyoming broke his maiden as a 2-year-old at Gulfstream Park, has competed at the stakes level, and recently won an allowance race at Gulfstream Park.
Ridgewood Stables is currently offering a total of 20 shares on a first come, first serve basis for each of these fillies. Ridgewood will be purchasing at least one of the shares in each. The deadline for buying a share is April 19, 2014.
1 share (5%) cost: $600
This initial cost covers the first quarter of anticipated expenses and all set-up expenses. As shares are sold, the set-up costs will be deducted and the rest will be deposited into the partnership account. These funds will be left in the account to use for the upcoming training/maintenance expenses.
